This past weekend the amazing LJ & Maryna tied the knot near Johannesburg, and we could not have been happier to be part of their day. Our white inflatable photo booth was set up for guests to enjoy during the pre-reception cocktails and stayed busy for the rest of the evening.
A celebration at Makiti
LJ & Maryna chose Makiti, a beautiful garden and bushveld venue in the Muldersdrift area on the edge of the West Rand — a favourite for couples who want a relaxed, outdoor feel within easy reach of the city. It is exactly the kind of setting our inflatable photo booth suits perfectly: the booth sets up on any flat surface, works indoors or out, and its clean white exterior blended straight into the wedding’s palette.
Why a photo booth works so well at a wedding
A wedding photo booth is one of the few additions that entertains guests and produces keepsakes at the same time. While LJ & Maryna were away taking formal portraits, their guests were queueing at the booth, pulling on props and piling in for group shots. Every session printed a custom-designed strip carrying the couple’s names and wedding date — a favour guests actually kept rather than left behind.
The enclosed inflatable design is a big part of the appeal. Because guests step inside a private, glowing space, even the more reserved members of the family loosened up and had fun. As one guest at another of our weddings put it, they had been to so many weddings and never seen one before.
